Psychologist Opportunity

Community Health Network is seeking a qualified, collaborative psychologist to join our Gallahue Hillsdale Clinic team on the north side of Indianapolis. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting individuals in improving their mental health and well-being through comprehensive psychological services. As a psychologist, you will be responsible for conducting adult assessments, supervising intake processes, providing guidance to learners, and partnering with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for our clients.

 

This role will support a large Outpatient Community Mental Health Clinic which houses our psychiatry residency, multiple Psychiatrists, Nurse Practitioners, 4 Psychologists, over 40 therapists, and multiple levels of care including Intensive Outpatient care for youth, adult, and substance misuse disorders. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Psychological Assessments: Administer and interpret psychological tests and assessments to evaluate clients' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
  • Supervise Intake Processes: In tandem with the Comprehensive Evaluation Team Lead, support intake procedures, ensuring efficient and thorough assessment of clients' needs and appropriate assignment to clinicians or services.
  • Provide Guidance to Learners: Mentor and provide clinical supervision to psychology interns, practicum students, or other learners, supporting their professional development and adherence to ethical standards.
  • Develop Treatment Plans: Collaborate with clients and referring professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to clients' individual needs and preferences.
  • Document Clinical Records: Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records, including intake assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, and other relevant documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
  • Participate in Case Consultations: Engage in case consultations with colleagues and other professionals to ensure coordinated and integrated care for clients with complex needs.
  • Stay Current with Research: Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in the field of psychology, integrating evidence-based interventions into clinical practice.
  • Provide Crisis Support: Offer immediate support and crisis intervention as needed, including assessing risk of harm, and supporting referrals to our crisis and acute departments.


About Community Health Network Behavioral Health Services:
Community Health Network is Central Indiana’s largest provider of behavioral health services, with close to 4,300 inpatient stays and 19,000 outpatient visits per year for children through senior adults. Youth and adult outpatient services are available at all our behavioral care clinics located in Marion, Hancock, Shelby, Madison and Howard Counties. The programs offer individual, Intensive Outpatient Programs, group, or family therapy for issues like depression, anxiety, stress or anger management, substance abuse or gambling addiction. The care is provided by a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, advanced practice nurses, licensed clinicians, therapists, life skills professionals, peers specialists, nurses, medical assistants, and technicians.

Specialized outpatient services are available for those with serious mental illness like schizophrenia or other psychotic or mood disorders that limit a person's ability to function. The care focuses on medication education and management, daily living activities, clinical case management and individual and group therapy.

Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in psychology from an accredited institution
  • Licensed to practice in the state of Indiana as a Health Service Provider in Psychology (HSPP)
  • Demonstrated expertise in conducting psychological assessments and intake processes
  • Experience providing clinical supervision to psychology interns, practicum students, or other learners preferred
  • Strong knowledge of ethical guidelines and professional standards in psychology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and support learners' professional development
  • Compassion, empathy, and a commitment to promoting mental health and well-being
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
