Overview:

As a CRNA at Cone Health, you'll provide anesthesia services to patients of all ages and physical conditions for a variety of surgical and medically related procedures. Join our Talent Pool: Allied Health!

Responsibilities:

Pre-Anesthetic Assessment: Complete a thorough pre-anesthetic assessment, formulate and document an anesthesia management plan, and collaborate with the care team.
Documentation: Accurately complete all required documentation, including the Surgical Safety Checklist, pre-operative assessment, intra-operative anesthetic record, and transfer-of-care note. Ensure medication is correctly labeled and account for controlled substances.
Professionalism: Demonstrate personal accountability, effective conflict resolution, and use of universal precautions. Maintain a safe environment, respond to emergencies, and promote a positive work environment.
Equipment Management: Inspect, prepare, and use anesthetic supplies and equipment with patient safety as a priority. Demonstrate knowledge of handling and maintaining equipment.
Anesthetic Plan Implementation: Prepare and administer medications and fluids safely, maintain vigilance with ongoing patient assessments, and communicate changes in patient status.
Knowledge Maintenance: Continuously enhance knowledge to care for all patient populations served. Maintain required certifications.

  • An additional trauma differential at Moses Cone Hospital due to high acuity. 
• Sign-on Bonus of $60K for practicing and $100K for New Grads!

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing and School of Nurse Anesthesia.
• Experience: Recent graduates from a School of Nurse Anesthesia are welcome.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Current North Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) licensure and recognition as an Advanced Practice RN by the NC Board of Nursing.
  • Certification/Recertification as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist by the National Board of Certification & Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
  • BLS (CPR) - American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
  • ACLS Certification.
  • PALS or NPR per campus recommendation.
  • For those driving a Cone Health vehicle, a minimum of 5 years of driving experience with an approved MVR by Risk Management.
