The Division of Infectious Disease Banner University Medical Group is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Infectious Disease team. Our NP will provide high quality medical management to patients in the outpatient setting with complicated conditions related to infectious diseases. Initially this NP will divide effort fairly evenly between managing patients with Valley fever (VF) and other ambulatory infectious diseases activities in an academic environment. Over time, as volume of patients with VF increase, the NP will become more focused on VF. The VF clinical program is the extension of the clinical activities within Banner Health and the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Tucson’s Valley Fever Center for Excellence that also conducts clinical and laboratory research on this disease. The VF Program within Banner is coordinated with clinical activities at the Banner University Medical Center-Phoenix and its clinics. The VF clinical activities will be directed by faculty with a career focus on this disease.
The Division of Infectious Diseases has a broad range of ambulatory clinical programs. In addition to the VF clinics, it has a robust Ryan White-funded HIV clinic, an orthopedic infectious disease clinic, and an outpatient parenteral antibiotic therapy program. This NP will be focused on outpatient care within our Tucson clinics but may also provide transition assistance to or from inpatients stays for patients who need it. Come join our team-focused, highly supportive, and innovative workplace!
