Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a NP ( Nurse Practitioner ) to join our Pre-Admission Testing Team at St. Francis Medical Center in Midlothian, VA. Come be part of this established healthcare organization with plans to grow and strengthen the PAT program in the Midlothian area!
Duties and Responsibilities of the PAT NP include but are not limited to:
- A competent clinician who utilizes current clinical knowledge and processes to provide professional care and/or health care screening to pre-procedural patients and their families.
- Performs H&Ps, initiates and follows PAT protocols as agreed upon with the collaborating physician.
- Reviews patient H&P, diagnostic & laboratory results, the medical record, and scheduled procedure to assist in optimally preparing patient for surgery. Seeks consultation and collaborates with appropriate health team members to coordinate patient care prior to admission. (Includes but not limited to Anesthesiologist, Surgeons, PCPs, and Nursing).
- Provides patient education, interprets diagnostic & laboratory results, and prescribed treatment options based on individual patient needs in effort to optimize patients prior to surgery.
- This position services the following populations: Adult and geriatric.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday with the option for to work 8 or 10hr shifts
- Credentialing: St. Francis Medical Center
- Average Patient’s Per Day: 12-15
- Patient Base: Outpatient Services
- Master of Science in Nursing with certification as a family, adult, or acute care nurse practitioner through an accredited body required
