Our Comprehensive Treatment Center provides medication assisted treatment to individuals, aged 18 and older, who are struggling with an addiction to opioids. By utilizing prescription medications that are specifically designed to assist individuals in the process of withdrawal, patients are able to safely progress toward lasting recovery under the supervision of our medical team.
The following prescription medications are available for patients to utilize within their treatment plans at Southeast Massachusetts Comprehensive Treatment Centers:
• Methadone
• Subutex
• Suboxone
• Experience in addiction/psychiatric treatment preferred

Summary:
• Makes a comprehensive physical assessment of patients consistent with training and education;
• Performs physical examinations on patients admitted for medication maintenance;
• Ensures physician medication orders are being followed. Refers patients to appropriate physicians and consults with the supervising physician;
• Evaluates patient care, adjusting the plan of care based on outcomes, diagnostic test results, and patient feedback;
• Provides patient and staff education on medication maintenance;
• Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, CARF Standards, and clinic policy and procedure;
• Maintains and expands knowledge base in accordance with the requirements necessary to maintain professional certification as a Physician Assistant; and,
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Graduate of Physician Assistant program from an accredited college or university
• Previous experience in a substance abuse treatment clinic preferred
• No history of alcohol or drug misuse for a period of three years before employment
Licenses/Certifications:
• Board certified Physician Assistant.
• Licensed Physician Assistant able to practice in state where the clinic operates.
• DEA license.
