Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant - Rheumatology - Tyrone/Peachtree, GA

We are seeking a full-time, licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our established Rheumatology care center in Peachtree City-Tyrone, GA located near Piedmont Newnan, Piedmont Fayette Hospitals and approximately 21 miles from Atlanta Int'l Airport.

Our AARA care center has 1 Physician and 1 Nurse Practitioner, 9 exam rooms, a state-of-the-art Infusion Suite with 5 chairs and dedicated staff. We specializes in treating general Rheumatology, Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis, Sjogren’s Syndrome, Systemic Lupus Erythromatosus, Gout, Psoriatic arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Vasculitis, and more.

A Day in the life of a Rheumatology APP

Responsibilities:

• Examine patients and their medical records
• Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays etc.)
• Diagnose and Propose treatments for autoimmune and arthritic diseases
• Prescribe medications and IV Infusion Treatments
• Maintain accurate records and schedules
• Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications
• Educate patients and their family members on diseases and treatment plans
• Oversee patients’ overall health
• Promote good health practices
• Advance professional knowledge and conduct research
• Other duties as assigned by collaborating physician

Requirements

• New grads or experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Rheumatology, Internal Medicine, Orthopedics, or Primary Care preferred
• Bilingual - English and Spanish a plus
• Knowledge of health and patient care regulations
• Excellent communication skills - verbal, and written.
• Strong ethics, integrity, and reliable
• Team player with a positive attitude, patience and optimism
• Exhibits curiosity and a willingness to learn
• Valid Georgia Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
