Adding Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to the Team

Open to Family Medicine or Adult Geriatric Certification

• Practice is open to a newly graduated provider with a strong nursing background and focus on primary care training rotations
• Experience in primary care practice is preferred
• Start date will be 120 days after having a signed offer
• Work hours are M-F 8-5
• New Provider will handle overflow from other providers, take over existing panel, and build own panel from new patients
• 100% outpatient - no hospital requirement
• After hours Call is one week every 4th or 5th week - phone only, No pain management, Rx at provider discretion
• 18-20 patients per day after ramp-up period
• Family Practice - 10% Adolescent, 50% Adult, 40% Geriatric patient panel - Age 16 and up
• 1:1 Provider support by CMA/LPN
• Clinical Supervisor, Patient Service Reps, Diabetes Educator on site
• Lab and imaging in the building
• EPIC EMR
• E-visits / Telehealth through MyChart
• Must be confident in managing chronic diseases, providing well visits and acute care.
• Procedures - very little joint inj, I&D, some suturing - will provide training
• Basic Women's Health as needed
• We are looking for a team player who can communicate effectively and positively with the staff.  You will close your charts daily.  Must be able to work with staff from the front to the back respectfully, and be willing to help out other providers with coverage on vacations.

We're a primary care practice with 4 MD's and 1 NP.  Short Pump Primary Care is located on the west end of Richmond on West Broad Street near the Short Pump shopping area.  This is a quickly growing area with a wide demographic mix of new residents moving into new construction homes and town homes.  We're surrounded by Richmond's best shopping, big retail, boutiques, fine dining in chef-owned restaurants as well as familiar chains and something for every palate from many international cuisines.  Easy access to I-64, I-295 and Route 288.  We're also on a bus line for easy transportation.
