Job Description

Opportunity for an APP to join our interdisciplinary Pediatric Critical Care team at Primary Children's Hospital, a Level I Trauma Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, with a focus on serving patients in our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit.

Our Critical Care APPs care for pediatric patients (newborn to early adulthood) in our pediatric intensive care and cardiovascular intensive care units. As the quaternary care center for pediatric care in the Intermountain West, we see a wide variety of the most severely ill and injured patients, with referrals reaching us often from as far away as Anchorage, Alaska. Our APPs work in a collaborative nature with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, while having opportunity to work at the top of their scope of licensure - participating in formulation of plans of care, conducting procedures such as ECMO, intubations, setting chest tubes, placement of mechanical circulatory support devices, among others.

As we provide care 24/7, this APP will be asked to work a full time rotating schedule including day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts. During respiratory season, additional shifts may be available to the provider, dependent on patient volumes and department needs.

Due to the acute and intensive nature of the care we provide, candidates must have at least two years of clinical experience in a pediatric ICU setting to be considered for this role.

A comprehensive benefits package, including CME, 401K matching, parental leave, relocation assistance, and more is available. The APP will be paid a base salary commensurate with experience, with opportunity for additional compensation through shift differentials ranging from 10-50% when working evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, or extra shifts.
