Responsibilities

Ascension Providence is looking for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for Ascension Medical Group Providence Vascular Clinic

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to provide medical services to patients at Providence Vascular Clinic located in Waco, TX.

Position Highlights:

• Existing care team of podiatry, cardiology, wound care, radiology, and surgical specialties
• Robust Primary Care team within AMG Providence
• Team consists of 1 vascular surgeon and 5 general surgeons

Responsibilities:

• Obtains patient history and performs assessment. Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic procedures.
• Provides and documents direct treatment and management of health conditions.
• Provides counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
• Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and care.

Requirements

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

Required Credential(s):

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Physician Assistant credentialed from the Texas Physician Assistant Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Certified Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Preferred Credential(s):

• Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Master's degree preferred.

Work Experience:

• 1 year of experience preferred.
