Intermountain Health is hiring a Behavioral Health Advanced Practitioner, Provider to join our team.
• Conduct patient visits in the clinic setting with the possibility of home visits, including medication management and psychotherapy
• Ability to travel to different clinics during the work week in Nye and Clark County.
• Assess existing psychiatric disorders; diagnose and formulate plan of care, write referrals, renew medications, order diagnostics, and manage results.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Support the patient’s management of chronic diseases through management of their behavioral health conditions.
Position Details
• Work Schedule: Monday – Friday
• Avg Daily Patient Census: 16day; patient age ranges Mostly 65 and older
• No Call
Requirements
• Must hold a current Nevada NP license
• Certificate of completion from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
• Certified as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
• Current Nevada DEA certificate required prior to start date
• Must have valid driver’s license and insurance
• Must be comfortable conducting home visits with high-risk patients
• Two years of experience in Primary Care, Hospice Behavioral Health.
• Must be comfortable prescribing controlled substances for management of Behavioral Health conditions.
