Seeking an additional Hem/Onc NP/Nurse Navigator to grow our Cancer Center!

Holzer Health System in Gallipolis, Ohio is seeking an additional Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner in Hematology/Oncology to help grow our Cancer Center.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing health problems, coordinating health care for the patient in accordance with State and Federal rules and regulations, and the nursing standards of care
  • Provide healthcare to patients in accordance with the standard care arrangement and within the scope of practice set forth by the Ohio Board of Nursing
  • Have the knowledge and skills necessary to holistically support persons throughout the entire cancer experience, from point of entry through treatment and survivorship
  • Provides individualized assistance to Oncology patients and their families in overcoming barriers to care, facilitating timely access to care, and providing education and support
  • Collaborate with all Holzer departments and providers as necessary to ensure holistic thorough care is given and appropriate, timely referrals are made for patients
  • Provide patients with a high level of clinical support and is responsible for improving cancer care of Holzer Health System's cancer patient population by designing and delivering supportive, holistic, and comprehensive cancer care.

Education, Work Experience, and Licensure:

  • Current and/or pending APRN licensure in the state of Ohio
  • Current DEA number from the United States Drug Enforcement Administration for scheduled II-V controlled substances
  • Current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Minimum of 3 years of oncology related experience preferred
