Bon Secours Mercy Health in Oregon, OH is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) to join our dynamic team. Job Description:

Work Schedule:

• Full-time position with a 40-hour work week.
• Rotating schedule including weekend and holiday rotations.
• Call schedule includes Excess Behavioral Health Institute call for 3 hours gratis per week from 4 pm to 7 pm, with an hourly rate after gratis (12 hours/shift). 

Practice Setting:

• Hospital-based practice primarily located at St. Charles Hospital in Oregon, Ohio.
• Inpatient psychiatric admissions, follow-ups, and consultations.
• Serving adult and geriatric patient populations.
• Virtual health available for consults to Willard, Tiffin, Defiance, St. Vincent’s, Dr. Anne, and Perrysburg.

Responsibilities:

• Perform initial evaluations, follow-ups, and discharge planning for inpatient behavioral health units, including psychiatric intensive care and geriatrics.
• Participate in consult service, evaluating medically admitted patients with psychiatric needs across the market.
• Conduct electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) evaluations prior to treatment.
• Collaborate with attending psychiatrists, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs), social work, recreational therapy, and nursing staff.
• Demonstrate willingness to precept advance practice students.

Requirements:

• Must be BLS certified.
• Possess a team-based approach, with a predominantly split/share model.
• Previous experience in psychiatric care preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to providing compassionate and evidence-based care.
