Your day. 

As a Sleep Medicine/Pulmonology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant you’ll work with both of our Sleep Medicine and Pulmonology teams. You'll work alongside two Pulmonologists and a Sleep Medicine physician as well as four other APPs to provide top-notch care and patient experience. 

• You would practice at St. Vincent in Billings, Montana
• You would receive excellent support and mentorship from our experienced Sleep Medicine and Pulmonology APPs and physicians.
• Clinic hours are Monday-Thursday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

In this line of work every day is different, that’s why you’ll need to know how to:

• Provide and manage direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnosis and treatment.
• Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens.
• Direct and coordinate the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required.

Your experience.

We hire people, not words on paper. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:

• Masters of Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Studies.
• An active Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) License by the MT State Board.
• Prescriptive Authority by the MT state board of Nursing or Medical Examiners and DEA License.
• Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
• ACLS Certification within 6 months of employment (site specific).

It’s also a big plus if you have:

• Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically within a multi-functional team. 
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
• Ability to successfully function in a fast paced, service oriented environment.
• Experience in understanding and usage of computers, including Microsoft products. The ability to learn new applications relevant to your position.
• At least 2 years experience in either Sleep Medicine or Pulmonology.
