Advance Practice Provider (PA) – Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery

The Driscoll Health System is seeking a full time Advanced Practice Provider to join our established Pediatric Orthopedic Clinic. Position is open to recent graduates from Physician Assistant school. Texas license must be complete before starting. No experience necessary, however, preferred.

Candidate must be passionate about working alongside physicians, the APP is responsible for participating in the diagnosis, treatment, and supportive care of pediatric patients. The APP collects documents and analyzes patient data, and when necessary, collaborates in the development and implementation of testing and treatment protocols. The APP will assist in or perform orthopedic castings and limited procedures as allowed under the delineation of approved privileges. Travel to satellite clinics will be required. This position is full time Monday – Friday 8am-5pm. Limited weekend call. The ideal candidate:

Physician Assistant:

  • Active and unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the state of Texas.
  • Orthopedic experience is strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Certified Surgical First Assist preferred.
  • Current BLS and PALS
