Nurse Practitioners Specializing in Primary Care or Family Medicine- Licensed in NM- FT/PT

 TeleMed2U, a thriving and transformative Telemedicine-based multi-specialty clinical practice, is seeking to employ or contract a full-time or part-time NM - licensed, Nurse Practitioner specializing in Primary Care.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction of a supervising Primary Care Provider, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) will provide high-quality, efficient, team-based patient care.  The NP performs assessment/data collection in an ongoing systematic manner, focusing on physiologic, psychosocial, cultural, and cognitive status: patient/family education, family involvement, and patient advocacy. 
  • Consults with supervising physician as dictated by patient need and assessment findings.

Primary Duties will be inclusive of the following but not limited to:

  • Examines patient, performs comprehensive physical examination, and compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination.
  • Ordering medications and diagnostic tests, such as imaging studies, and laboratory tests, and interprets test results for deviations from normal.
  • Develops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, and assists in provision of continuity of care.
  • Instructs and counsels patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens and other relevant patient education.
  • To collaborate with the supervising Primary Care physicians, managers, and other department members on performance improvement activities.

  • Longitudinal care, not episodic – focuses on building relationships with patients.
  • An active New Mexico medical license is a plus, but not required, TeleMed2U can initiate NM license on your behalf.
  • Work normal business hours, Monday-Friday in MST, excluding holidays.
  • No On-Call
  • Start Date TBD on licensing and credentialing- most likely Fall 2023
  • Full-time and Part-time schedules are available
  • W-2 or 1099 positions available

Required License: Active NP (NM), or open for license initiation.

 

Primary Care experience is required.
