Opportunity Details

Lifespan Physician Group (LPG): Bradley Hospital, affiliated hospital of the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University has an opening for a child clinical psychologist to join our SafeQuest program for children. This is an intensive after-school program for children aged 9-12 who are at risk for self-harm and/or who are suffering from significant mood or anxiety disorders, ADHD or trauma-related factors. SafeQuest psychologists work within a multidisciplinary team, which works collaboratively with parents and caregivers to provide the best services possible to assist each child. Opportunities for Brown University Clinical Faculty appointments if desired. Candidate must have completed doctoral training and clinical internship from APA-Accredited programs.
 
About the Job:

  • Position is part time but can be combined with other opportunities to create a full-time position if desired
  • Responsible for diagnostic assessment, group, family, and individual treatment and facilitate disposition planning
  • Patients have a diverse range of presenting concerns
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to reduce self-harmful behaviors, increase coping and positive regulation skills and lessen hospital stays for patients
  • Opportunity to teach and provide supervision within the broader system
  • Collaborative research opportunities may be available
  • Positions available in East Providence and East Greenwich

 About You:

  • PhD or PsyD in Clinical Child Psychology from an APA-accredited program
  • Completed an APA-accredited internship
  • Licensed or license-eligible in Rhode Island
  • Desire to work in a team-based care model
  • Bring a passion for helping children with complex psychosocial and/or diagnostic histories
  • Good sense of humor and a desire to work in a supportive environment
