  • Schedule: 1.0 FTE. 4 out of 5-day work week. (32 hours of clinic time).
  • Call Schedule: 1:4 
  • Practice Detail: Excellent mix of patients. Beautiful tertiary care hospital with a level 3 NICU, Peri-operative Suites including the XI and SI robots. 24/7 Anesthesia team. 24/7 Laborist /OBHG Program managing OB/ED.
  • EMR System: EPIC

Responsibilities

Ascension Columbia St. Mary's Hospital is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife for our OB/GYN practice.

 

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Columbia St. Mary's Hospital to provide medical services to patients.

 

Position Highlights:

  • Full scope of Women's Health practice. (OB/GYN) 
  • Collaborative working arrangement with 7 board-certified OB/GYNs
  • Outreach sites available in the Third Ward and Mequon.
  • Provide the majority of well women and obstetrics services for low-risk patients. 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide independent and collaborative primary health-care and management of care to women before, during, and after pregnancy, including care of the newborn.
  • Develop a comprehensive plan of care and discharge plan based on the assessment and integration of the medical plan.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
  • Provide education/counseling to the patient and the patient's family with respect to pregnancy, childbirth,
    care of the newborn, contraception, family planning, and gynecological care.
  • Provide care in the context of promoting age and culture-appropriate informed choices, shared
    decision-making and the right to self-determination.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Nurse Midwife credentialed from the Wisconsin Midwives Advisory Committee obtained prior to hire
    date or job transfer date required. Verified by local Credentialing Office.

Education:

  • Master's or Doctorate of Science in Nursing or Midwifery or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required.

Additional Preferences

Only Master's of Midwifery will be accepted.
