Pulmonary Nurse Practitioner - Montebello, CA

The Nurse Practitioner Specialty - Pulmonary is responsible for providing for the health care needs of patients in collaboration with a physician, through advanced assessment and identification of health states including abnormal conditions, diagnosing, treatment therapies and/or evaluation. Performs care in the specialty area of Pulmonary patients. 

Pulmonary Specialty Position- Supports Clinics Montebello, Whittier, Long Beach, Downey, Fullerton 

Work Shift: 5 Days a Week, Monday – Friday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Role & Responsibilities: 

• Utilizes evidence-based clinical practice standards to provide direct clinical services for patients within prescribed guidelines and physician instructions. 
• Acts independently to perform physical assessments, diagnostic functions, specialized risk assessments, and make critical decisions regarding a wide variety of health situations, including high risk and crisis situations. 
• Acquires patient health histories and evaluates patient, performing physical examinations. 
• Orders, interprets and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients clinical problems and health care needs. 
• Discusses case with physician. 
• Formulates and documents care plan. 
• Prescribes medication, therapies and/or other forms of treatment. 
• Evaluates the patient’s response to therapy.  

Compensation:  $132,756K - $199,134K annual salary & bonus eligible
