Job Title: Nurse Practitioner – Psychiatry (Outpatient Setting)
Location: Temple, TX
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday - Friday (Typically 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; flexible start and end times available)

Position Overview:

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Temple is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our Mental Health Clinic in an outpatient setting. This is an exciting opportunity to provide psychiatric care in a collaborative and supportive environment. As part of our team, you’ll have the chance to work with a group that values growth, teamwork, and continuous learning. You will manage an average of 10 patients per day, contributing to the overall well-being of our patients while working alongside a skilled multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychiatric assessments and evaluations for patients in an outpatient setting.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management, psychotherapy, and other interventions as appropriate.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to ensure coordinated care.
• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with all regulatory requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

• EDUCATION - Grad of an Accredited Program
• EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience
• CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION - Psych-Mental Hlth Nrs-ANCC (MHN-BC)
• Nurse Practitioner (NP)
• Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS): Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire or transfer.
