MercyOne Iowa Heart Center is seeking a full-time Cardio Thoracic Advanced Practice Provider to join its well-established practice in Des Moines, IA. The ideal candidate would have surgical and or critical care experience.

Opportunity Details

• 4 Surgeons and 8 APPs
• Responsibilities include OR, Inpatient rounding, and clinic visits
• 4-day work week
• 1st call 
• Equitable call: 3 days per month, 8-9 call weekends/year, and 1 holiday on call/year

MercyOne Iowa Heart Center was founded in 1970 and is one of the largest cardiovascular practices in the US. With 52 Physicians, services are offered in General Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Advanced Heart Failure, Cardiovascular Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Preventative Cardiology and Adult Congenital Heart Disease.  Iowa Heart Center has an accredited Cardiology Fellowship program (6 Fellows), advanced imaging including cardiac MRI and cardiac CT, and a destination LVAD program.  Iowa Heart Center has 8 primary office locations and attends 28 outreach facilities spanning much of the state of Iowa.  We are an active clinic research department, Participate in all the major STS registries, and perform more than 10,000 cardiac interventions a year.
