Nurse Practitioner- Infectious Disease

ProMedica Physician’s Group (PPG) has an excellent opportunity for a full time, board eligible/board certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a busy, well-established Infectious Disease practice in Sylvania, Ohio.

• Monday through Friday position
• Alternating Weekends with Physician Dr. Naqvi
• Position will round in Toledo Hospital, Flower Hospital, and Monroe Hospital to cover Infectious Disease Needs
• Potential work in Outpatient Clinic

• Complete follow up appointments at the practice on patients who are released from the hospital under the care of Sylvania Infectious Disease Practice (Dr. Naqvi) or others referred to the practice for follow up.
• Assess, Treat and Develop Plan of Care within scope of any new patients referred to the Sylvania Infectious Disease Practice (Dr. Naqvi).
• Monitor effectiveness of therapeutic interventions.
• Exercise prescriptive authority to prescribe according to federal, state, and local laws.
• Make appropriate referrals to physicians, specialists, and community resources.
• Provide patient education, coaching and counseling.
• Work collaboratively with Infectious Disease Physician (Dr. Navi) to complete in-patient rounds in the various hospital we service (ProMedica Toledo, ProMedica Flower, and ProMedica Monroe).
  • Respond to calls from patients who have questions about care, medications, or appointments.

• Certificate of Authority to practice.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) CPR certification. 

Physician Assistant:  

• Master’s?degree?  
• Licensed or license eligible in the state of Ohio. 
• Licensed or license eligible in the state of Michigan
• Certificate of Authority to practice is required.

Nurse Practitioner:  

• Master of Nursing (MSN) degree  
• Licensed or license eligible in the state?of Ohio
• Licensed or license eligible in the state of Michigan
