Rheumatology APP
Position Highlights:
- Opportunity to join an established rheumatology group.
- Position: Advanced Practice Provider (FNP or PA)
- Location: Naperville, IL
- 1.0 FTE
- Hours: Monday-Friday; 8:00-4:30, 8:30-5:00
- Required call: none
- No holidays or weekends
- Required Travel: none
- Compensation: $120,100-150,100. As a valued member of an integrated team, your placement within the pay range is dependent on a variety of factors, including but not limited to FTE, prior experience, certifications, projected volumes, and quality performance.
What you will need:
- FNPs: State of Illinois Registered Nurse license, current State of Illinois Advanced Practice Nurse license or pending
- PAs: current NCCPA certification, current State of Illinois PA license
- Current CPR certification issued by either the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Prior rheumatology experience or experience as an APP in primary care is required.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for assessing and managing the health and well-being of patients. Conducts extensive patient histories and examinations; orders medications, treatments, and laboratory tests; records progress notes and writes discharge plans.
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served. This includes knowledge of the physical and psychological needs of patients served and the ability to respond appropriately to those needs.
- Reviews laboratory and diagnostic test results, evaluates condition of patient, and assists in the preparation of appropriate treatment plan as necessary. Reports evaluation to the Supervising Physician and collaborates with physician in difficult and/or complex patient situations.
- Instructs patients and families in proper healthcare, appropriate illness prevention measures, and home care in accordance with patient's physical condition.
- Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the field by reading appropriate books, journals and other literature, attends related seminars, conferences and the like.
- Ensures appropriate documentation of patient related information is included in the medical record.
- Responds to complex questions from patients and family members. Acts as a resource to staff.
- Performs other duties as required.

Edward Elmhurst Health (EEH) is seeking a BC/BE eligible Family Medicine Physician in the Western Suburbs of Chicago, in Naperville, IL and Elmhurst, IL to join the team. Qualifications:
1. Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine with current license to practice medicine in the state of Illinois
2. Board certified or eligible
3. Active DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License
4. The interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact with patients, families, medical personnel, and other members of the health care team in a compassionate and customer-oriented manner.
5. Current knowledge of evidence-based standards of medical care for specialty area.
6. The ability to perform effectively and efficiently under the pressure of stressful emergency situations.
7. Ability to prioritize patient care to support efficient patient flow in in EEH facilities or EEH Medical Group offices.
8. Ability to work a flexible schedule and to assist in covering vacancies when necessary.

What you will need:
- License: Illinois Medical License or License Pending
- Certification: The successful candidate for this position will have completed a Family Medicine residency and be board certified/eligible by the American Board of Family Medicine.
What you will do:
- Development of clinical practice.
- A minimum of 34 bookable hours per week and 20 extended hours per month, which are a subset of the 34 bookable hours, to include morning/evening/weekend hours.
- Participation in weekend and weekday call.
- Teaching of the house staff and medical students as assigned.
