ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
- Outpatient practice only at Marshall Gastroenterology
- Parter with 2 collegial physicians and support staff
- No weekend or call requirements
- 4 days a week, with a required 188 workdays per year

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Elicits, records and interprets a complete health history to include all past medical, family and psychosocial aspects. Performs complete physical examination and distinguishes between normal and abnormal findings
- Orders, interprets and evaluates diagnostic tests and procedures to identify and assess patient’s clinical problems and health status
- Orders and adjusts medications per written protocol or in consultation with a physician
- Formulates, implements and provides the follow-up care plan for patients
- Collaborates with attending physicians and other members of the healthcare team
- Serves as an information resource to patients and their families to provide instruction regarding diagnosis, treatment, methods, and objectives
- Triage outpatient telephone assessments. Interprets and records data and consults or reports information to medical provider to determine plan of care and appropriate follow-up
- Perform all examinations for screening colonoscopies
- Assumes other duties and responsibilities appropriate to the position and area
REQUIREMENTS
- Graduate from an accredited NP or PA program
- Board certified as an NP or PA
- Must be able to obtain a CA medical license
- 2 years practice experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Comfort with supervision and managing diverse patient populations
