Gastroenterology APP Opportunity with Partnership Track near El Dorado Hills | 4-day work week | 188 days a year

• Outpatient practice only at Marshall Gastroenterology
• Parter with 2 collegial physicians and support staff
• No weekend or call requirements
• 4 days a week, with a required 188 workdays per year

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Elicits, records and interprets a complete health history to include all past medical, family and psychosocial aspects. Performs complete physical examination and distinguishes between normal and abnormal findings
• Orders, interprets and evaluates diagnostic tests and procedures to identify and assess patient’s clinical problems and health status
• Orders and adjusts medications per written protocol or in consultation with a physician
• Formulates, implements and provides the follow-up care plan for patients
• Collaborates with attending physicians and other members of the healthcare team
• Serves as an information resource to patients and their families to provide instruction regarding diagnosis, treatment, methods, and objectives
• Triage outpatient telephone assessments. Interprets and records data and consults or reports information to medical provider to determine plan of care and appropriate follow-up
• Perform all examinations for screening colonoscopies
• Assumes other duties and responsibilities appropriate to the position and area

REQUIREMENTS

• Graduate from an accredited NP or PA program
• Board certified as an NP or PA
• Must be able to obtain a CA medical license
• 2 years practice experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Comfort with supervision and managing diverse patient populations
