LOCUMS NP/PA Hospitalist Opportunity in Nags Head, NC

The Outer Banks Health Hospital is seeking a physician to provide locums coverage for their established hospitalist team. Provider must be comfortable with EKG interpretation and the interpretation of ABGs.

 Dates Needed: 7a-7p

4/8-4/11, 4/25

6/9-6/12

6/18-6/20

11/25-11/28

12/24-12/28

 

New providers will need to arrive the day before their first shift for orientation.

  

Details:

  • Hospital Medicine experience is required
  • 1 year inpatient experience preferred
  • Applicants must have a North Carolina DEA.
  • Applicants must have ACLS certification from the American Heart Associated

 

Job Highlights:

  • Privileges at The Outer Banks Health Hospital
  • 19-bed critical access hospital with general med-surg beds
  • Locums will provide care for admitted patients and evaluate patients in the ED for admission
  • Average inpatient census: 12-15
  • Average number of admissions per day: 5-6
  • No ICU
  • Provider will need to respond to codes
  • Clinical responsibilities include admissions, rounding, inpatient care, and preparing patients for discharge
  • EPIC EMR
