A minimum of 5 years as a nurse practitioner (NP) or physician assistant (PA) is required along with current or past leadership experience.
Responsibilities Include- Performs a directed history and physical examination pertaining to the patient's presenting complaint and makes an assessment; records and presents pertinent data to the supervising physician
- Oversee the Travel APC(TACT) process, help with the collection of TACT requests from facilities and requests off from clinicians
- Responsible for the equitable distribution of TACT in conjunction with the APC director
- Coordinate TACT SIM course with APC director, provide and supervise instruction to cross train TACT as needed utilizing EM/HM/CC bootcamps and SIM
- Orient new travel APCs to the ED and hospital as needed
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to manage and direct others
- Ability to effectively work in a team-based environment
- High degree of judgement and decision-making skills
