PA or NP for Pulmonology - Night and Varied Shift Positions

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Pulmonology team. This role includes both day and night shifts, with distinct responsibilities for each. The APP will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care within our dynamic healthcare environment.

Night Shift Responsibilities:

  • Admit new patients and manage new consults.

  • Manage incoming texts and pages from nursing staff regarding patient care questions.

  • Provide occasional family updates as required.

Day Shift Responsibilities (for hybrid role):

  • Admit new patients and manage new consults.

  • Conduct morning rounding on an assigned patient list.

  • Manage occasional discharges.

  • Facilitate patient transfers from the ICU to other services in the afternoon.

  • Provide family updates as needed.

Additional Responsibilities (Both Day and Night Shifts):

  • Perform arterial and central line placements.

  • Conduct occasional intubations.

  • Respond to rapid response calls only if it involves a designated patient under your care.

Qualifications:

  • Current Missouri licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).

  • Prior experience in pulmonology, critical care, or hospital medicine preferred.

  • Strong clinical skills with the ability to work independently and manage urgent situations effectively.
