Join Our Compassionate Neurology Team – Advanced Practice Clinician Opportunity in Toledo, OH

Mercy Health is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Clinician (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our growing Neurology team in Toledo, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a highly collaborative and well-established Neuroscience team within the largest health system in Ohio.

Opportunity Highlights:

  • Full-time, outpatient-based position with a Monday-Friday schedule
  • Work alongside a team of 9 neurologists and 1-2 other outpatient neurology APPs
  • Build and manage an ambulatory general neurology practice with both new and follow-up patients
  • Utilize Epic EMR for seamless patient care documentation
  • No call responsibilities

Qualifications:

  • Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Ability to obtain a medical license in the state of Ohio
  • Ability to obtain a DEA license with full prescriptive authority

Practice Environment:

  • Work in a Neurology specialty group with a patient-centered team approach
  • Part of a larger Neuroscience department, including Neurosurgery, Endovascular/Stroke, and Neurocritical Care
  • The department is highly collaborative, with four outpatient access points and continued growth potential

What to Expect in This Role:

  • Outpatient neurology clinic setting with a minimum of 36 hours of direct patient care and 4 hours of administrative time per week
  • See an average of 16-20 patients per day
  • Strong support staff, including MAs, LPNs, and clerical personnel
  • Mentorship available through experienced providers
  • Opportunity to participate in resident education and neurology grand rounds

  • Access to high-field open MRIs, neuropsychology services, and physical therapy
  • Comprehensive stroke center with endovascular services at St. Vincent Medical Center
  • Case management collaboration and inpatient support services
