Orthopedic Hand Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

About this role: 

As an Orthopedic Hand Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP; nurse practitioner or physician assistant) at Intermountain Health, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. The Musculoskeletal team at McKay-Dee Hospital has 6 musculoskeletal physicians and 4 orthopedic surgery APPs.

The APP will see patients in clinic, first-assist in surgeries, and round with post-operative patients in the hospital. Common cases include: carpal tunnel, trigger finger, hand arthritis, hand trauma, elbow fractures, tendonitis, etc.

In this role you can anticipate:

• Practicing at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, UT; limited weekly clinic hours at Layton Clinic in Layton, UT
• Working in clinic 3 days per week, with 2 dedicated surgical days per week
• After-hours and weekend call with physician to support emergent hand cases; call is compensated
• Relocation allowance provided for qualifying candidates

What you’ll bring: 

• APRN or PA-C degree from an accredited program 
• Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one 
• BLS certification and DEA 
• Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
