The Iowa Primary Care Association is looking for a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join an outpatient community health center in Council Bluffs, IA.
About the health center:
This community health center is a cornerstone of comprehensive primary care, serving as a critical resource for under-resourced patients. They integrate medical, dental, and behavioral health to ensure ensure all patients receive coordinated, all-encompassing care, under one roof.
Position Details:
Clinic Hours:
- Mon-Thurs: 8am-7pm; Fri: 8am - 5pm; Sat: 8am-12pm; will discuss schedule during interview.
Call schedule: rotated weekly amongst the provider but is very light.
Patient load: 8-16 per day
Patient appts: 20 minute time slots
Team: 1 MD, 3 PA, 4.2 NP, .5 RN, 1.5 MA
EHR: Epic
In Iowa, Nurse Practitioners can practice independently with full practice authority.
Requirements
- 3 years of experience working as a FM NP or PA in a primary care setting.
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Current advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the State of Iowa.
- Current Federal DEA and Iowa CSA registrations in good standing
Benefits

- Salary range: Starting at $121,000 and goes up based on experience.
