The APRN in this position will work with the surgeons, and may document verbal or telephone orders, as well as progress notes in both the clinic EMR.
This candidate will perform nursing outpatient clinic assessments on new admissions, established patients and in-clinic procedures and will be responsible for nursing intervention, performing nursing procedures, and providing patient education congruent with the medical plan of care.
This position requires a thorough knowledge and understanding of otolaryngology as it is related to assigned specialty. In addition, this position requires interpersonal skills to relate to the surgeon, patient, family members, ancillary personnel, and hospital personnel in a professional and appropriate manner.
Required Education/Training: Master's degree in nursing
Required Experience: Minimum one (1) year hospital or clinic-based Nurse Practitioner experience
Required Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current Missouri Registered Professional Nurse; current Missouri Advanced Practice Registered Nurse status; BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
