Job Summary:

• Collaboratively manage patients under the general supervision of the attending physician, on a fast-paced pediatric hematology/oncology/transplant inpatient service
• Lead family-centered multidisciplinary rounds and manage daily care, admissions, and discharges on the inpatient pediatric myelosuppression unit
• Perform procedures such as lumbar punctures with instillation of intrathecal chemotherapy and bone marrow aspirates and biopsies
• Participate in quality improvement and committees
• Follow evidence-based practice/SOPs/FACT requirements
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week. This is primarily an inpatient position with opportunity for occasional outpatient coverage.
• No overnight or weekend call required.

• Experience as a pediatric advanced practice provider is preferred, but not required
• Bone Marrow Transplant or Heme Onc experience is preferred, but not required
• Pediatric acute care certification is preferred

• 25-bed pediatric unit (private suites), 10-bed PICU, and 60-NICU Level III (including overflow)
• Currently functioning as a 101-bed facility with room to expand
• 24/7 Pediatric ED staffed by PEM physicians with great support staff including metabolic testing/infusion nurse, full-time dieticians and diabetes educators
• HCA Healthcare’s Nashville network consists of five hospitals with NICUs and eleven EDs
