Job Description

Are you an advanced provider looking to work in a fast-paced environment with the best in-class group of surgeons? Join our team at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, Indiana!  We have an outstanding opening for a patient-focused Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who has a passion for pediatrics and surgery.

Position Details:

  • Full-time, Days Shift 
  • 3x12s 
    • Weekend Option (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
    • Set Schedule. 5am-5pm
    • Rotation for major holidays
  • 100% Inpatient
  • No Call
  • Patient population: Pediatric general surgery and trauma, Newborn - age 18
  • Currently: 11 physicians and 12 advanced providers in the practice

Responsibilities: 

  • Work in collaboration with Pediatric General Surgeon and resident/fellow trainees to provide care to a variety of surgical, post operative, trauma population
  • First line of communication for nursing as well as other service lines and trainees at Riley Hospital for Children for PGS service
  • Inpatient rounding and cross coverage of PGS patient population

Qualifications:

  • FNP, PNP or PA certification required
  • Will accept new graduates. 3-5 years of APP Experience working with pediatric patients preferred
  • Experience with pediatric general surgery and trauma populations preferred
