Job Summary:

• Responsibilities will include evaluation and management of infants, children and adolescents in outpatient
• Pediatric cardiology experience is preferred but not required
• Experience in the cardiac specialty field or ICU, and/or cardiovascular service-line field with preference given to those candidates with experience in congenital heart care
• Opportunity to work with our growing programs in pre/post-surgical care and encounter with patients at clinic
• Immediate patient and referral base
• M-F 8am-5pm, no call coverage required
• MGMA compensation based on experience

• Successful completion of an accredited nurse practitioner program
• BS degree, MS degree or equivalent
• Texas license eligible
• Board certified by the NCCPA or equivalent
• Current American Heart Association BLS and PALS, and/or ACLS provider

• Pediatric Cardiology Associates is a well-established practice in San Antonio. We offer a full-service line including fetal, newborns, children, adolescent and adult congenital cardiology.
• Methodist Children’s Heart Institute is a well-established and rapidly expanding program, which performs the full spectrum of procedures including neonatal cardiac surgery and surgery for low birth weight babies, complex valve repair, pulmonary autograft procedure, and adult congenital heart surgery. 
• 202-bed facility with seven operating suites
• 94 NICU beds and a 17-bed pediatric intensive care unit with plans for future expansion to a dedicated pediatric cardiac intensive care unit
• Largest congenital heart program in San Antonio for pediatrics and adults
• Congenital heart program enjoys an extensive catchment area and rapidly growing referral base in South and West Texas, with 40% of volume neonates
• First Level IV NICU in San Antonio and one of the largest in the region
