Orthopedic APC - Foot and Ankle Surgery - Suffolk VA

Bon Secours Orthopedic and Spine Specialists is hiring a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

for our Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Surgery practice.  

This opportunity is open to experienced OR newly graduated and board eligible / board certified APCs.

• Three practice locations:  Norfolk, Suffolk and Harbour View
• Full time position - Monday - Friday 8:00-4:30
• Weekend Call every 7th weekend
• Practice Administrator will provide details of additional Call requirements
• Includes Hospital rounding at Maryview Medical Center and Harbour View Medical Center- but APC will primarily be office-based
• APC will be supporting our foot and ankle surgeon by managing his surgical patients for pre- and post- op.  This provider will also see new patients and help build a pipeline of surgical patients for him.
• Surgeon and Leadership will provide onsite training.
• Estimated 25-30 patients per day - all Adult and Geriatric
• APC will be doing in-office injections, follow up care, history and physical exams, casting, splinting and post-operative care
• EPIC EMR - virtual MyChart telehealth as appropriate
• XRay and Ultrasound in clinic
• 4 other seasoned APCs available for support and mentorship
• Surgery and diagnostic schedulers in practice
