What you’ll do:?

  • Provide specialized outpatient care for patients who are morbidly obese with medical comorbidities, including diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and obstructive sleep apnea.
  • Provide peri-operative and inpatient care for bariatric and general surgical patients.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered comprehensive care.
  • Perform patient assessments, order and interpret tests, and create individualized treatment plans.
  • Adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and care goals.
  • Coordinate care transitions across service units to ensure continuity for complex patients.
  • Educate patients and families on self-management and lifestyle modifications.
  • Manage pre and post operative conditions, including medication adjustments, providing assessments, and coordinating treatment plans with the coordinating physician.
  • Possible to perform some surgical assisting within the APN/PA scope with robotic and laparoscopic cases.

What you’ll need for this job:?

  • CPR – Basic Life Support 
  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support 
  • Nursing – Current Registered Nurse License – State of Illinois (RN) 
  • Nursing – Nursing Practitioner License – State of Illinois (APN)  
  • Physician Assistant License – State of Illinois (PA)  

What we offer:

  • Pay Range: $109,304 – $180,336 per year
    Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
