Advanced Practice Provider Urogynecology

About this role: 

As an Advanced Practice Provider in Urogynecology, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. This Advanced Practice Provider will join our Summit Women's Health team, with clinic on campus of Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah.  This position is primarily focused on supporting urogynecology and our fellowship trained subspecialist.  Additionally, this position will spend time supporting the team at Summit Women’s, which focuses on gynecologic patient care.  The gynecology team includes one physician, two APPs, and excellent support staff.  

In partnering closely with our Urogynecologist, this position will provide both outpatient and inpatient clinical care. The APP will see patients independently for non-surgical management of pelvic floor disorders.  This includes conditions such as urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse.  Clinical management includes new patient visits, behavioral changes, medications, navigating patients through various non-surgical and surgical options, in-office procedural management, and pre- and post-operative care.  Inpatient clinical care will involve some rounding, call coverage and postoperative care.  The majority of patients are discharged home same day, so often, patient rounding is completed via phone.  Call will be shared with the Summit Women’s urogynecology and gynecology providers.

What you’ll bring: 

• Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Active, unobstructed Utah APRN or PA license and Controlled Substance license, or the ability to obtain prior to starting employment
• Federal DEA Certificate II-IV
• BLS Provider certification
• Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process 
• Preferred: Prior urology or women's health experience is highly valued.
