OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS

St. Peter’s Health Partners is seeking an experienced and motivated Physician Assistant to join a highly skilled and collaborative Vascular Surgery APP team at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, high-acuity vascular surgery service, managing a highly specialized patient population. You’ll gain valuable experience in both surgical and medical management while participating in direct care for hospitalized patients.

Job Overview:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Night shifts, weekends, and on-call as needed
  • Holiday rotation

Job Responsibilities:

  • Surgical First Assist: Collaborate with the surgical team in assisting with vascular surgeries.
  • Floor Rounds: Participate in patient rounds, assisting with daily care and management.
  • Holiday Rotation: Be available for scheduled holiday coverage as part of the team rotation.
  • Rotating Weeknight & Weekend Call Schedule: Provide call coverage on a rotating basis, including evenings, nights, and weekends

Requirements:

  • Surgical experience preferred, but willing to train candidates with an interest in vascular surgery.
  • NYS Licensure required.
  • DEA/Board Certification required.

  • Salary: 135,276-155,567, commensurate with experience.

The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. In addition, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits offered by their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to variation due to the factors noted above.
