Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner (Cardiology Stress Test) in Pinehurst, NC

Pinehurst Medical Clinic (PMC) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dynamic team in Pinehurst, NC.

A day in the life of a PMC Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner may include:

• Assess patient health status including state of wellness, compliance with care plan and determines appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Provide acute and chronic patient care including taking histories, d monitoring therapies, giving injections and medications
• Triage patient calls and evaluates patient problems.
• Make responsible decisions within the scope of a dependent medical practitioner.
• Respond to emergencies including use of CPR.
• Document patient information and care provided in patient record and maintains department statistics.  Uses computer to access/enter needed data.
• Develop as needed health education programs and materials
• Work collaboratively with all members of health care team.  
• Educate patients and families as appropriate.  
• Performs other related duties as required.  

Shift: Day Shift (Monday through Friday) no weekends or holidays

Pay Type: Salaried (Exempt)

 Required Qualifications

• Must have an active license to practice nursing in the state of North Carolina as a Registered Nurse. Must have written approval by the North Carolina Board of Nursing and the North Carolina Medical Board to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or current North Carolina PA license, certified by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
• BLS/CPR Certification required

Preferred Qualifications

• Two or more years of work experience as a NP or PA preferred. 

What will you do as a PMC Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner:

You'll play a key role in patient care by working in collaboration with a supervising physician. Emphasis on patient care, stable acute illness reprieve, health promotion, and illness/injury prevention. Coordinates staffing and orientation of assigned team members. Plans and conducts ongoing education and training. Maintains infection control/safety standards, and is committed to providing and promoting patient-centered communication and care.   This role will oversee the stress testing in our treadmill room.
