Oncology Services Nurse Practitioner Opportunity with Mercy Health Lorain
Mercy Health Lorain located 30 miles west of Cleveland has an exciting opportunity for an Oncology Services Nurse Practitioner to assist in the management and navigation of patients to enhance patient access to the full continuum of cancer care from screening, diagnosis, and treatment with a focus on our more marginalized communities. The Nurse Practitioner will also work with the oncology physician provider to facilitate follow-up visits as part of the survivorship program or advanced care planning if applicable.
We are seeking a qualified candidate to join our team and help enhance the integrated care of the cancer patient while also helping to remove barriers to treatment, improve cancer screening rates and support cancer education and outreach.
Required qualifications include:
Current certified nurse practitioner Ohio license
Prescriptive authority or eligibility
Current BLS Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
AOCN preferred but not mandatory
Experience in Acute Care, Medical Surgical Nursing and/or physician practice
Experience with Oncology Care
Experience with Palliative Care and Advanced Care Planning preferred but not mandatory
