The Department of Urology at Albany Medical College is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their team. In this role, you will provide direct patient care, psychosocial support to patients and families and case management in collaboration with attending physicians, primary care nurses and other providers. This is an outpatient role with the hours of Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
The ideal candidate will have interest in primarily working in pediatrics along with a small adult population.
Responsibilities include:
• Conduct patient assessments, physical examinations and diagnose patients. Collect clinical data and specimens.
• Perform circumcision related surgeries on the pediatric population including newborns, ensuring comfort and safety. Training will be provided.
• Prepare patients for tests, therapy or treatments.
• Order and interpret lab test results.
• Administer medications and/or treatments.
Qualifications include:
• License and active registration as a registered nurse/nurse practitioner or physician assistant in New York State
• Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Familiarity working in electronic medical records. Epic experience a plus.
• Collaborate effectively across various departments to ensure cohesive, patient-centered care and a positive work environment.
• Maintain HIPAA and patient confidentiality.
Competitive salary range with incentive based opportunity: $117,766-$138,548
