Job Description

Overview

CHI Health Clinic is seeking a compassionate, team oriented Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our Women’s Health Division to cover multiple campuses in Omaha, Nebraska.  This opportunity is suited for a provider who is excited to provide comprehensive care to high risk infants and their family members. Experience is preferred, but not required.

The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) is responsible for providing direct clinical care in a Neonatal ICU inpatient setting and conducts medical histories, performs complete physical examinations, initiates appropriate lab, radiology tests and other special tests required for evaluation. Performs routine and specialized procedures as credentialed. May prescribe and monitor medications. Participates in medical team rounds and collaborates with physicians, nursing and other medical personnel. Educates patient families and answers questions regarding their disease, treatments, related drug and treatment side effects and hazards. Refers patients to specialists as appropriate. Our Advanced Practice Providers are a collaborative member of an interdisciplinary care team with advanced communication skills.

Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) is a member of CommonSpirit Health™, a nonprofit, Catholic health system committed to building healthier communities, advocating for those who are poor and vulnerable, and innovating how and where healing can happen—both inside our hospitals and out in the community.

CommonSpirit was created by the alignment of Catholic Health Initiatives and Dignity Health as a single ministry in early 2019. With a large geographic footprint representing diverse populations across the U.S. and a mission to serve the most vulnerable, CommonSpirit is a leader in advancing the shift from sick care to well care, and advocating for social justice.
