Overview:
Klickitat Valley Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our Family Medicine team in a rural primary care health clinic. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality mental health care while contributing to the overall wellness of underserved communities.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with behavioral health counselors, primary care providers, and a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and treat mental health conditions across the lifespan
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Manage psychotropic medications, ensuring appropriate prescriptions and follow-up
• Provide counseling and psychoeducation to patients and families
• Promote mental health awareness, reduce stigma, and increase access to behavioral health services within the community
• Display strong interpersonal skills, cultural competence, and adaptability to meet the unique needs of rural healthcare

Required Qualifications:

• Current licensure as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
• Experience working with diverse populations in rural healthcare settings
• Strong commitment to patient-centered care and improving access to mental health services
