What You€™ll Do:
- Setting: Inpatient behavioral hospital.
- Conduct comprehensive medical assessments, including initial history and physicals (H&Ps) within 24 hours of admission, follow-ups, and discharge planning.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and support staff to create integrated treatment plans addressing medical and mental health needs.
- Participate in treatment team meetings to ensure cohesive and comprehensive patient care.
- Co-manage patients with complex medical comorbidities alongside mental health providers.
- Educate patients and families on medical conditions, medications, and lifestyle adjustments to enhance overall health.
- Provide medical consults and recommend diagnostic tests and treatments as needed.
- Deliver emergency care within your licensure scope until specialized care is available.
What We€™re Looking For:
- Licensure: Active Alaska NP/APRN license or the ability to obtain licensure.
- Education: Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Certification: AANPCB Board Certification.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of post-training experience in an inpatient or acute care setting preferred (behavioral health experience a plus).
- Skills: Strong collaboration and communication abilities, with a patient-first approach.
