Key Position Details:

Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute is seeking a Cardiology EP Physician Assistant to join the practice.

• 1.0 FTE position. 40 hours per week.
• 4 day work week. 10-hour work days.
• Inpatient cardiac EP lab/EP service.
• May include future weekend rounding.
• May work between two locations.

Job Description:

Principle Responsibilities:

• Provides clinical care for patients
  • Completes comprehensive patient assessments.
  • Determines diagnosis and treatment of illness.
  • Orders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician.
  • Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment.
  • Conducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness care.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree - Completion of accredited Physician Assistant program

Preferred Qualifications:

• New graduates may be considered. Prefer a minimum of 2 years experience in cardiology or ICU.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Certification as a Physician Assistant - NCCPA -National Commission Certification of Physician Assistants upon hire required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire (NP candidates)
• Active MN NP/PA license (or ability to obtain).
• BLS certification required with in 180 days of hire.
• Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges.
