As an Army Public Health Nurse, you’ll assess health risks in Army communities, implement health programs to monitor the spread of disease, and promote the overall well-being of our Soldiers. As part of the Army Nurse Corps, you’ll make a positive impact on the quality of life for Soldiers and their families.
Active Duty (Full-Time)
- Loan Repayment: $120,000 in student loan repayment in $40,000 annual payments to qualifying federal student loans paid directly to the lending institution through the Active Duty Health Professions Loan Repayment Program (ADHPLRP).
- Sign-on Bonus: $30,000 signing bonus for 3 years of service or $50,000 signing bonus for 4 years of service.
- Location: Over 40 locations stateside and several more overseas, including Hawaii, Alaska, Italy, Germany, and Korea.
- Rank Recognition: Starting rank and salary determined by educational and professional history.
- Time Off: 30 days paid vacation annually plus over 20 days for federal holidays and "Days of no Scheduled Activities."

Army Reserve (Part-Time - 38 days a year)
- Loan Repayment: $60,000 in student loan repayment in $20,000 annual payments to qualifying federal student loans paid directly to the lending institution through the Health Professions Loan Repayment Program (HPLRP).
- Board Certification Pay: $8,000 additional annual bonus as long as board certification maintained.
- Location: Continue your civilian occupation serving time at a local unit within 50 miles of your location. Transition to different locations as needed.
