Emergency Department Physician Assistant

• Trinity Health is ready to provide north western & north central North Dakota with emergency care for the next 100 years. In 2023 we opened a state-of-the-art facility that has 24 private ER bays, 4 trauma rooms and 4 triage rooms that encompasses over 33,000 square feet to hold our Level II Trauma Center.
• Radiology, advanced imaging, cath lab, interventional radiology lab and operating rooms are now located nearby the emergency room to ensure swifter and more coordinated treatment for staff and patients.
• In 2023, the emergency department utilization statistics reported 30,184 visits.  

• Engages in patient care in the Emergency Trauma Center (ETC) and other settings using specialized knowledge, judgment and skills. Conducts examinations of the ETC patients to assess and respond to the patients condition. Works under the oversight of a supervisory physician.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Licenses and Certifications Required
  • Current ND Board Physician Assistant License required.
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training, with certification every two (2) years, preferred.
  • ACLS certification, with certification every two (2) years, preferred.
• Educational Requirements
  • Education as required to obtain and keep current ND Physician Assistant license.
• Experience Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of established professional medical concepts, principals and practices, required.
  • Experience in specialized medical areas, preferred.
  • CPT coding knowledge, preferred.
