Job Opportunity: Outpatient Weight Management Advanced Practice Clinician (APC)
Location: Bon Secours St. Mary's Hospital, Richmond, VA
Position: Full-time (Mon-Fri, 8 AM - 5 PM)

Join an established healthcare organization dedicated to enhancing the health and wellness of our community. Bon Secours St. Mary's Hospital is seeking a passionate and skilled Outpatient Weight Management APC to become an integral part of our growing weight management program in Richmond.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment & Diagnosis: Conduct thorough medical histories, physical exams, and metabolic assessments; evaluate and diagnose obesity-related conditions.
  • Treatment Management: Provide individualized clinical management including prescriptions, meal replacement programs, and coordination of endoscopic procedures.
  • Patient Education: Develop and implement educational materials and programs focused on obesity and surgical weight loss to empower patients on their health journey.
  • Support & Guidance: Assist patients in maintaining healthy diets, increasing physical activity, and managing stress.
  • Research & Data Management: Engage in research protocols related to weight loss and manage outcomes-based data effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Must be licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Virginia or a compact state.
  • Prescriptive Authority: Authorization to prescribe in Virginia is required.
  • Certifications: Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications; NCC PA Certified or AANP Certified; CPNP, Weight Loss Specialist Certification, or equivalent credentials preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience is preferred.
