The Nurse Practitioner, Gastroenterology will be an essential part of our healthcare team, collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and assistants. This role includes coordinating patient care, developing treatment plans, and advocating for patient-centered care in line with professional standards.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Direct Patient Care: Provide direct care within your scope, assisting with patient evaluations and follow-ups, maintaining continuity of care for a panel of patients.
  • Procedure Assistance: Support procedures like urinary catheterization, venipuncture, and others in collaboration with attending physicians.
  • Follow-Up & Documentation: Review lab results, manage patient follow-ups, and ensure timely, accurate documentation of care.
  • Educational Role: Teach medical students, train nursing staff, and develop innovative patient education programs.
  • Policy Development: Assist in reviewing and improving clinic policies for efficiency and patient satisfaction.
  • Routine Paperwork: Handle routine medication refills, patient communication, and complete necessary documentation.

Qualifications

  • Licenses: Current RN and APN licenses in New Jersey
  • Certification: CDS and DEA; Certified as an NP within area of specialty
  • Education: Master’s degree in nursing
  • Experience: 2+ years in a relevant specialty is preferred
  • BLS Certification: American Heart Association approved

Schedule & Commitment

  • Full Time: Monday - Friday
  • Shifts: 5 x 8-hour shifts
