JOB SUMMARY 
  As a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) at Catalyst Physician Group, you’ll be a vital part of our team, helping our communities thrive by providing direct patient care and supporting clinical operations. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Functions independently to perform a broad range of medical services including, but not limited to the following: 

• Patient Assessment 

• Age appropriate history and physical 

• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays relative to a patients specific needs 

• Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions 

• Prescribing medication appropriately 

• Annual exams 

• Minor procedures 

• Educating patients on disease prevention and positive health and lifestyle choices 

• Documenting encounters in EMR 

• Providing direction, coordination, and evaluation of patient care delivery 

• Ensuring that standards and care quality levels are consistently followed 

• Following all clinical safety protocols and infection control procedures 

• Work well with a diverse group of professionals in a team environment 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: 

• Current Texas license and certification. 

• Graduate of an accredited NP/PA program. 

• Experience as an NP or PA in an outpatient clinic setting. 

• Competent with basic desktop software, medical practice management, and electronic medical records (EMR) systems. 

• Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA rules and regulations. 

• Excellent customer service and communication skills. 

• Ability to exercise a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making. 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

• 1-3 years related experience preferably in a Primary Care outpatient setting. 

• Athena EMR experience.
