Opportunity Criteria
Valley Health seeks a Thoracic Surgery Physician Assistant for our Cardiothoracic Surgery Team to provide services at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, Virginia. You will join an expanding thoracic surgery program, with anticipated rotating call.
Professional responsibilities include surgical first-assisting in Thoracic Surgery, perioperative patient care in the critical care, surgical floors, office and call. The Thoracic Surgery PA acts as the liaison between the surgeons, intensivists, nursing staff, and other care providers to ensure continuity and quality of care. Thoracic Surgery involves all aspects of patient care in thoracic and foregut surgeries, which includes surgery for lung cancer, esophageal cancer and several benign disease of chest. Robotic surgery first assisting is preferable but not a must. Your vision in leadership across the Thoracic team will be instrumental.
